A little humor to begin the week! A friend shared this meme with me recently, knowing well that it would hit home. It’s funny, but it’s also convicting. Can you relate?

When I feel frazzled and overwhelmed, one remedy is to sit down, close my eyes, and meditate on one of my favorite verses, Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God…”.

God can handle anything that comes our way, and if we’re relying on Him, He will quiet our mind, show us what to do next – and give us His peace.

What do you do when you’re feeling frazzled?

Sometimes we need this reminder and Monday morning is a good time for it.

We may have started the day and week feeling burdened, if not overwhelmed, with all of the work we’re faced with.

We also tend to become occupied with figuring out what to do next, or how to do it.  Worse, we often forget the most important thing we need to do – “call on Jesus”.  Maybe that’s because it seems too simple to be a solution!

Have you called on Jesus today?

When you are feeling overwhelmed by the circumstances of your life, where do you turn?

Edward Dennett, an influential writer in the nineteenth century, wrote this:  “The difficulties that appear as mountains, looming through the mists of our unbelief, are nothing to Him but the occasion for the display of His omnipotent power.”

One of the benefits of having a coach is the opportunity to process the coach’s questions that are designed to bring insight and a path forward toward the resolution of many of life’s problems.

Among a number of important questions to consider is whether you are trying to solve problems in your own way and strength, as opposed to considering whether God has a unique approach in mind that will not only work, but will let Him display His power and personal concern for improving your circumstances.
