Not long ago, I read that only 20% of people are coachable.

As a coach who desires to bring transformation to people by cementing their personal relationship with Christ and the renewing of their mind (see Romans 12:2), if true, this statistic means that 80% of us can be written off as beneficiaries of this goal of coaching!

Why this negative mindset?

I suspect that the change and growth associated with coaching is foreseen as a lead in to losing one’s comfort zone. It seems that most of us prefer the comfort of a self-help approach.

Coaching provides accountability and consistency that’s missing from self-help. Time and effort are necessary elements in reaching goals. A coach provides support, inspiration, encouragement and the necessary follow through to reach a goal that will bring lasting change.

In the words of Charles Spurgeon: “Growth is painful. Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.”

With coaching guidance, you can get unstuck, move forward, overcome fear and uncertainty, and find hope, healing and peace.

If you would like to talk about coaching, send me a message to set up a free half-hour Discovery Call. Be the exception!

Are you interested in exploring the possibility of change?

Valentine’s Day is about celebrating love. God’s love ranks number one!

I don’t know where I would be without the love of God. He has given me all that I have, including all that I need to serve: time, ability, skill, and resources.

It is His love that fuels my passion for coaching and for helping others. His unfathomable love and grace motivate me to want to share His love with others and to help them achieve their God-given goals.

Charles Stanley puts it beautifully. He writes, “God loves you. He loves you unconditionally, without limit or qualification, and He loves you personally and individually. Not only does He love you and desire to shower you with His love, but He desires to be loved by you. Furthermore, He desires that you love and be loved by other human beings. God is generous – even extravagant – in His love. He delights when you express His brand of unconditional love to others and when you experience that kind of love in return.”

Are you enjoying God’s love?

Busy, busy! We’re all so busy, aren’t we?!

One definition of the word “busy” is “an active or earnest effort to accomplish something”.

But what are we accomplishing in all of our busyness? Are we making progress towards our goals? Or are we spinning our wheels and avoiding the things we need to be doing?

A coach can help you work smart.

Call me. Let’s talk about it!

Equating your life to a card game, what kind of a hand have you been dealt?

If you think you’re a victim of having been dealt a poor hand, a new mindset will help you to move forward, achieve goals and experience some peace.

1 Corinthians 2:16 speaks to having the “mind of Christ”. Now that is a mindset to have!

Coaching can help you toward acquiring that mindset that will guide you toward achieving a new quality of life, helpful goals and peace of mind.

Could you benefit from talking with a coach about the cards you were dealt, your mindset, and your next move?

In today’s vocabulary, hope is often used to express a desire for something to happen or to be true. The original, and true meaning of the word hope, however, refers to a firm and certain expectation.

God gives us access to “a living hope” through the resurrection of Jesus (1 Peter 1:3). Hope is “a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul” (Hebrews 6:19). He is our hope!

Without true hope, the trials and troubles of this life will wear us down and take away our motivation to live the life that God would have us live – a life of abundance!

Hope is manifested and materialized in the course of a helpful coaching relationship. Hope motivates both coach and client and provides a solid foundation for understanding and acquiring all that God has in mind for us.

What’s on your hope list for 2023? In what or, more importantly, in whom, are you placing your hope?

What are your goals for the year ahead? It would be my privilege to partner with you in building a foundation for true hope!

What are your hopes for 2023?

It may sound strange, but my hope in this new year is that there will be widespread recognition of the Biblical truth that we have all been born into a spiritually broken world; each of us born with a spiritually flawed nature and that many will accept Jesus’ standing offer for a transformation that He will freely provide to those who ask. My hope is the basis for my vocational choice of ministry as a Christian life coach and includes an emphasis on promoting genuine transformation.

One of my goals centers on helping clients re-write their stories – like I have been re-writing mine – and, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, helping them to become the people that God made them to be.

My personal goal for 2023 is more perfectly stated in the words of the 1896 hymn by Frances Brook, “My goal is God Himself, not joy, nor peace, nor even blessing, but Himself, my God.”

Only God, only Jesus, is faithful. As Charles Stanley observes, “His commitment to you is lasting…His friendship never changes.” Jesus is Immanuel, God with us, to all those who believe and receive Him. He is always with us, a shoulder to lean on, our faithful companion and friend!

The challenges we’ve all experienced over the last few years have caused many of us to evaluate where we stand with God and to draw closer to Him. Many desire the transformation that only a relationship with Him can provide!

What are your hopes and goals for 2023? Are you ready for a transformation?

It is important to set and make goals that are in line with the vision that we have for our lives.

It is even more important to remain open to the Lord’s leading, even if it is in a different direction than we were planning.

When we have taken the step to set a goal and then act toward reaching that goal, He will occasionally show us a different direction.

I find this to be typical of how the Lord works with us.

After waiting for us to step out in faith and act, He steps in to meet us and help us to move toward His purpose and plan for our lives.

One of my jobs as a coach is to come alongside a client to help them in considering specific goals and their best next step toward reaching a desired goal.

These verses from Corinthians perfectly portray my heart’s cry and capture what I believe God created me to do.

For many years, I have had a great desire to help others, and I have done this in my professional as well as my personal life.

God allowed me to go through the majority of my 56 years of life dealing with the hardships that come from being in unhealthy relationships.

I believe that He allowed the trials in my life not only to refine me, but also so that I would be used by Him through my own healing to support, comfort and encourage others while showing them the love of Christ.

The coaching relationship offers an ideal way for me to fulfill my calling while helping my clients to reach their own goals.
