Don’t all of us have reasons to complain at times?

Everyone has their own issues and problems to deal with that few, if any, others are ever aware of.

As believers, Jesus cares and provides every need, whether we recognize it or not.

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

As Paul tells us, at a time when he was hurting and had a ton of problems, he was learning to be content. It is something we have to learn (Philippians 4:11).

Only by trusting the truth (Jesus) when He tells us that He has all of our needs met, can we know that we have nothing to complain about.

Need any help adopting this mindset? Let me know!

Gel clings on a window no longer generate much interest for my son, who is now eighteen. I still put them up. They provide a daily reminder that I need to thank God in ALL circumstances.

Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”. This assures us that God uses every trial and difficult circumstance that we encounter for His good purpose.

We can have the contentment that Paul describes in Philippians 4:11 when we’re able to praise God as we move through the storms of our lives.

If you feel that the circumstances of your life are so bad that you aren’t sure how to thank God, then simply praise Him for who He is – our Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer, Healer, Counselor & Loving Father.

Thank Him daily for all that He has done and is doing for you.

You might even discover how He could be using your trials for your good!

Up for talking about it?

In order to deepen our faith, we need to exercise it!

It is only by faith that we can acknowledge and accept that our Father has allowed everything that is happening in our world, including all of the circumstances in our lives and all that has ever happened to us. He allows all of it for His good purposes, as well as for our own.

Our acknowledgement of this truth, even though we frequently can’t understand His purpose, exercises, deepens and strengthens our faith.

Without faith, it is impossible to have a relationship with God. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.

God’s Word says that we will be rewarded for our faith! A major part of the reward is true contentment, even in the unstable world in which we live.

Faith enables us to be in a trusting relationship with God despite our troubles and the power of faith can even move mountains (Mark 11:23).

I love this quote by W. Graham Scroggie, “Sight is worldly wisdom, but faith is heavenly wisdom”.

We need to live by faith, not by sight!

How is your faith these days? Do you have faith in God despite all the craziness in the world?
